Microneedling is a quick and virtually painless procedure that will give you smoother, firmer, and younger looking skin. Microneedling   induces collagen production and actually strengthens the epidermis. The technician uses a device  that contains very fine needles. When passed over the skin, the needles create micro “injuries” in the skin to trigger new collagen synthesis. Each micro “injury” creates a channel that triggers the body to produce new collagen and elastin to fill the microscopic wound. This procedure has no major side effects and beautiful results are noticeable in a short period of time.

What is PRP or Platelet-Rich Plasma?

We obtain Platelet-Rich Plasma, or PRP, by drawing a small amount of blood from your arm into a sterile tube. This sample is centrifuged to separate your plasma, which we use for the treatment, from your red and white blood cells. Plasma contains high concentration of platelets, stem cells and growth factors. Platelets help your tissue heal and grow new cells.

When will I start to see results?

You’ll notice an immediate “glow” to your skin and it will continue to improve over the next few weeks. The full results can be seen up to 6 months post treatment as collagen production continues.

How many treatments are needed to see optimal results?

We recommend a series of at least three treatments about four to six weeks apart to see the best results for facial rejuvenation. You can then do the treatment about once a year to maintain these results. For Hair Restoration 5 or 6 treatments may be needed 6 weeks apart to align with the hair's growth cycle. For deep acne scars or stretch marks treatments can be closer together (2 or 3 weeks apart) for 6 or 8 treatments optimally. Other skin conditions or concerns can be evaluated on a case by case basis.

POST-TREATMENT EXPERIENCE

Most people look as though they have a moderate to severe sunburn and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This is normal and will subside after 1 to 2 hours. Most usually recover within 24 hours or less. Your Technician will give you an appropriate post-procedure skincare regime. A FREE CONSULTATION will be given before the treatment to ensure that you are suitable candidate for this technique.

** Microneedling should be avoided in patients with a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring, inflammatory dermatoses, history of herpes simplex virus in perioral area, or any type of growth in the target area. Absolute contraindications for microneedling include scleroderma, collagen vascular disease, clotting disorders, active infection, and immunosuppression.
